Dr. Brandon Rickabaugh: The Substance of Consciousness

Brandon Rickabaugh and J.P. Moreland released The Substance of Consciousness: A Comprehensive Defense of Contemporary Substance Dualism in November of 2023. The book covers both historical and contemporary arguments for substance dualism across a variety of disciplines, from philosophy to neuroscience, cognitive science, and sociology. Emeritus Professor Charles Taliaferro calls it “a treasure trove of arguments, objections and replies that should be required reading in philosophy of mind today, challenging the current, ingrained prejudice against dualism.” Brandon currently holds a position at Palm Beach Atlantic and was named the 2022 Early-Career Philosopher of Religion by Tyndale House.
