Dr. Joshua Rasmussen

Professor of Philosophy

Joshua Rasmussen specializes in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion, with a particular focus on foundational questions about existence and consciousness. He is the author of several books, including:

  • Who Are You, Really?
  • How Reason Can Lead to God
  • Defending the Correspondence Theory of Truth
  • Necessary Existence (co-authored with Alexander Pruss)

Rasmussen earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame under the supervision of Peter van Inwagen. His approach often bridges complex philosophical ideas with practical insights, aiming to make profound concepts accessible and relevant to a wider audience.
