Conference Theme – God, Knowledge, and Narratives
We welcome submissions on any and all topics of interest to philosophers of religion. Submissions do not need to be on the conference theme to be considered. We welcome submissions related to the conference theme, including the topics listed below, but we hope to see submissions on a wide range of topics.
- religious epistemology
- social epistemology of religion
- the value of narratives in meaning-making
- making sense of suffering
- theism and knowledge transmission
- perfect being theology

Panel discussion
There will be a panel discussion on Perfect Existence with participants Alex Pruss (Baylor) and Joshua Rasmussen (Baylor).
Submissions
We invite essays no longer than 3000 words. Papers should be prepared for blind review and can be sent to scpsubmissions@baylor.edu. Please copy and paste in the subject line: SCP SUBMISSION 2026.
If you are a graduate student and would like your submission to be included for consideration for the best graduate student paper prize ($500), please indicate this in your submission email.
The conference will include a mentorship lunch for graduate students to meet with faculty one-on-one for professional mentorship and additional paper feedback. If you are a graduate student or faculty member interested in participating in the mentorship program, please indicate this in your submission email.
Submissions due May 28, with notification of acceptance sent out by June 28.
