Dr. Paul Rezkalla
Post-Doctoral Research Associate
Philosophy
Paul Rezkalla works primarily at the intersection of ethics and the life sciences. His doctoral dissertation defended a "natural goodness" solution to evolutionary debunking arguments against moral knowledge. He is interested in the relationship between goodness and rationality and how it is that we can identify the characteristic, flourishing-promoting activity of organisms. He is also interested in applied ethical issues surrounding global poverty, moral enhancement, and the beginning and end of life. Before coming to Baylor, he was the Arete Professorial Fellow at Hillsdale College. He was awarded a Marc Sanders "Philosophy in the Media" Fellowship (2022), a St. Andrew's "Science-Engaged Theology" Fellowship (2022), and a Templeton Cross-Training Fellowship (2018).
