J. Harrison Lee
Graduate Student
J. Harrison Lee is a fifth-year PhD student in the department of philosophy at Baylor University. Prior to starting his PhD, he received a BA from UNC-Chapel Hill (2013), an MA from University College London (2014), and an MA from Georgia State University (2017), in each case majoring in philosophy. His dissertation research lies at the intersection of the philosophy of action and ethics. It argues that intentions have a narrow scope and that, as a result, prohibitions against intending harm fail to yield non-consequentialist judgments in paradigm cases. It examines implications for warfare and medicine.
