Sarah Durham
- Graduate Student
I received my B.S. in mathematics and a minor in philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville. I spent five years in “the real world” working as an actuarial analyst for an insurance company and then as a project coordinator for an educational think tank before realizing I liked ideas too much and deciding to come back to academia. I’m interested in interpersonal epistemology, especially how persons reveal themselves to one another; virtue ethics, particularly the virtues of humility and truthfulness; personalism and the metaphysics of persons; and aesthetics. I’m a big proponent of approaching philosophy with wonder and a sincere desire to understand truth. Outside of philosophy, I love rock climbing (especially with my husband, Levi), ultimate frisbee, math and number puzzles, playing music recreationally, and anything that involves flowers.
