Sarah Myers
- Graduate Student
I came to Baylor from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, after a stint of teaching in a Great Hearts classical charter school in Arizona. I am interested in Aristotelian/Thomistic metaphysics, natural law, and virtue, and I am writing my dissertation on Aquinas and questions of sex, gender, and feminism. I dissertate long distance and currently reside in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I enjoy a wide range of literature and film, as well as sewing, gardening, and canning. My husband and I brew beer at home, keep chickens, argue in the kitchen over Peter Geach or whatever we happen to be reading, and try to keep our four children fed and moderately clean, which last goal is very much in tension with their habit of getting as dirty as possible, making mud pies in the backyard. Luckily for my sanity, I am almost entirely converted to Anscombe's great pronouncement, "Dirt doesn't matter."
